HANSEL & GRETEL

The Missoula Children's Theater comes to the kid's school every year. The tryouts are on Monday after school and the cast is chosen that day. The kids spend every day that week during and after school having practices and then they perform that same week on Friday and Saturday nights. They work so hard and do such a good job! Grace was a walleybird. The walleybirds eat up all of the bread that Hansel & Gretel drop. They like to cause a lot of chaos.
Miles was a walleybird too!

Here is a picture of the whole cast. The kids are circled in the lower right-hand corner.

THE CIRCUS

Some good friends of ours moved the Herriman a few months ago. The kids were especially sad to see their good friends leave. We try to get the kids together as much as possible (which isn't a whole lot, sadly). They invited Grace and Isaiah to the circus for a night of fun. This is a picture of Isaiah and his future wife. That's right, we're doing arranged marriages in our family. Dani and Isaiah have a lot of fun together. They now keep in touch by email. If you ever listen to their conversations or read their emails, you'll just crack up. They are very sarcastic for their age.
This is Grace with her friend Britti, at the top, and her sister Nica on the bottom. Grace misses her friend very much and asks to play with her all of the time. We need to get them emailing too. I told Grace when she turned 8, which is coming up!

Here is the whole gang! Thanks to the Van Brocklin's for an exciting night at the circus and a chance to renew friendship.

SOCCER SEASON

We love watching the kids play soccer, but it does add a lot of chaos to our lives! We have 3 games every Saturday and practices during the week too. Next year Moses will get to play and then we'll have 4. YIKES! Isaiah did very well at soccer this year! In past years he has dominated at the defensive side of the field, but he had many opportunities this year at the forward position. His most impressive quality is his endurance. His fourth grade class runs the mile every week and his record time is 6 min. 53 sec. That is a way better time than mom! He must take after his dad.
Grace had a bummer soccer season because of her broken wrist (shown on her left hand in the picture). She was able to be in 3 games, but dominated as always! She is very aggressive.

Miles is just excited to play soccer. This year Miles and a few of his teammates exchanged words with a little boy on the other team. They almost got in a fist fight because they were bragging about who was going to win the game. Isn't 5-years-old too young for things like this?

STAKE CONFERENCE

Twice a year we have stake conference at the Ogden Tabernacle. This time we spent time on the temple grounds afterward and I took some pictures of the kids.
We took some single pictures of Ella because we hadn't had any professional pictures taken of her yet. They turned out very cute!
